If you are going to request a bid, please provide as many details about the project as possible:

1. Audience (who will use the document).

2. Amount of material to be indexed. Density of material (number of index entries per page).

3. Index length constraints.

4. Turnaround time. Rush jobs may require a rush fee.

5. Style specifications.

6. Format of completed index.
